‘It is not beneficial for science to work in a dangerous environment. Because these people are under so much pressure to succeed, mistakes aren’t reported, and authorship is faked,’ Anholt explained. ‘It raises the bar for pursuing a career in science, and many PhD candidates are considering quitting.’
